Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government (MIW) has been a flagship recognition platform since CEO Communications’ inception in 2001.
With the aim of being a platform for the upliftment and celebration of the achievements of women, MIW has come a long way. The platform has developed into a sustainable annual programme that recognises the achievements of women across the African continent.
The programme now covers all regions of Africa to celebrate women’s contributions to the economic sector in which they operate, their communities and economic development.
Women recognised throughout this programme receive exposure in premier annual publications, showcasing their achievements among their continental counterparts. This publication is distributed throughout the continent, making it an exceptional marketing tool and high quality exposure. These women do so much for others, they are truly deserving of the title Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government!
Recognition takes place through a credible process, comprising the following steps:
External nominations are received via various media, the nominations include the contact details of nominees
Women are contacted to complete an entry form which is presented to the judging panels
A three phase, external judging process takes place to identify incredible women of influence
Regional events take place across the continent to acknowledge the exceptional achievements of these women
A symposium brings women of influence and their male counterparts together to tackle critical social issues, currently under the microscope
A final recognition event takes place to elevate the achievements of women that have contributed to continental growth, identifying continental winners from the pool of regional winners and lifetime achievers. The event incorporates our men’s recognition programme, Titans – Building Nations
